Some angels have wings, others have tails

In 1999, Retired Air Force Staff Sergeant Jason Morgan was deployed to South America on a counter narcotics mission. While providing security for two soldiers, his SUV flipped and crashed down a cliff. Jason was ejected as the SUV rolled over him. Unable to move, he had a broken back and numerous internal injuries.
In 2009, Jason was partnered with a black Labrador trained by Canine Companions for Independence®.
“Out of everything I’ve done to try and improve my life, nothing’s even come close to getting my first service dog,” said Jason.
Stemming from its mission to serve all people, Baylor Scott & White Health has joined forces with Canine Companions for Independence® to bring a new, philanthropically supported assistance dog training center to North Texas.
We want to help others wake up every day seeing gentle eyes, a wagging tail and hope. How can you help?
