Prevent unintentional childhood injury
Safe Kids Mid-Texas educates families, provides safety devices to families in need and advocates for better laws to help keep children safe, healthy and out of the emergency room. We aim to prevent unintentional childhood injury, a leading cause of death of children 14 and under.
Watch the story about Noah Howard, who is now a helmet safety advocate after a traumatic Rip Stick accident.
Injury prevention
Central Texas community outreach classes and events are conducted to provide educational materials and promote injury prevention and safety. Statistical data is shared to educate community leaders and impact legislation. Informational resources are available, including pamphlets, videos, brochures and presentations.
