Biography


Dr. Shakhawat grew up in East Texas and went on to earn her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University before completing medical school at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. ... She then trained in family medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, where she developed her passion for comprehensive, patient-centered care.


Outside of medicine, Dr. Shakhawat and her husband enjoy exploring new foods, traveling to new countries and relaxing with a good Netflix show.
