Patients appreciate

Dr. Harold Barnard consistently receives exceptional praise for his attentive listening skills and thorough approach to patient care. Patients repeatedly emphasize that he takes time during appointments, never rushes them, and ensures all questions are answered before they leave. His caring and compassionate demeanor is frequently highlighted, with many describing him as professional, empathetic, and genuinely concerned about their wellbeing. Patients appreciate his ability to explain medical information clearly in terms they can understand, his thoroughness in reviewing test results and medical history, and his excellent bedside manner. Many long-term patients note they have been seeing him for 10-20 years and wouldn't consider going to another doctor, with some even continuing to see him after moving farther away. The entire office staff also receives consistent praise for being friendly, professional, and efficient, with minimal wait times.

Patients also share

A small number of reviews identify areas for improvement. One patient felt Dr. Barnard could be more direct and blunt when discussing serious health consequences, specifically requesting more straightforward communication about risks. Another patient wished he would ask more thorough questions during examinations. One review mentioned a personality clash, though this appeared to be related to a preference for a previous provider in the office. A single patient felt their concerns were acknowledged but that Dr. Barnard did not offer sufficient explanation or solutions. One patient noted difficulty with the patient portal system, though this was a technology issue rather than a concern about the provider himself.

Patient comments are gathered from our Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey and are displayed in their entirety. Patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy.
